All That We Have to Be Thankful For

More than 25 years ago, my parents made the difficult decision to move our entire family from Taiwan to the United States to provide a better opportunity for my two sisters and me. Growing up, I witnessed the hard work, and sacrifices they made for the family, and their example of love and diligence have been ingrained in me ever since. Today I feel a duty to give back to our community.

The mission of the True North Group is to provide the same opportunity and guidance that I was given as a child - the opportunity for a better future for all our clients and the children in the community.

In 2020, I completed the Ironman Triathlon in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and with the help of our community raised $11,500, which was matched by the Triad Foundation for a total of $23,000! At first, I wasn't sure if anyone would care, but what started as a small dream turned into something bigger than I could've ever imagined. When I crossed the finish line, I was overcome by an overwhelming sense of gratitude and appreciation for everyone who had come together for a cause that was bigger than us.

The overwhelming support from our local community not only energized me but demonstrated that each one of us has the power to make a BIG impact when we all come TOGETHER in support of each other.

Since 2020, I've completed Ironman Florida (70.3), Ironman Texas (140.6), and Ironman Haines City (70.3). Stay tuned for future charity events!
